FAQ

Is my system compatible?

Your heating equipment is compatible with Netatmo Smart Thermostat if it respects the following criteria: • Switching current: max 120VA (4A load @ 30V, 1A load @ 110V/120V or 0,5A load @ 220V/240V) • 2 wires dry contact (ON/OFF) • Power factor: cos φ > 0.8 Check your compatibility on check.netatmo.com

What’s the maximum distance between a Smart Thermostat and Relay?

Up to 100 metres in an open space. We recommend placing the Relay in a central room in your home.

How is the Smart Thermostat powered?

The Thermostat uses 3 AAA batteries (provided). They have a battery life of 2 years. The Relay is connected to the mains either via the boiler adapter or a conventional socket.

Can I manage a multi-zone installation?

Yes, if the system has several heating circuits (e.g., ground floor and 1st floor). Each zone must be regulated by either a Smart Thermostat, a Smart Modulating Thermostat or Smart Radiator Valves, depending on the installation type. This means you can set different temperatures for different zones for greater comfort and energy savings.

Can you create more than one heating schedule/programme?

Yes, you can create up to 10 heating schedules.

Which product should I choose: a Smart Thermostat or a Smart Thermostatic Starter Pack ?

If you have an individual heating system, then a Smart Thermostat is required to control your boiler activation. If you install a Starter Pack onto an individual boiler system, it will not be able to control the boiler and will not have any effect in terms of energy savings.
