Fully secure data
To ensure security and peace of mind every day, your videos are processed locally and stored on an encrypted micro SD card. When you want to access your footage, the camera sends the video to your smartphone via a secure VPN. If you would rather store your content on the cloud, that’s fine too! You can store your videos on your Dropbox account or your personal FTP server.

What’s the difference between the Smart Outdoor Camera and the Smart Outdoor Camera with Siren?
The Smart Outdoor Camera with Siren has a built-in Outdoor Siren, while the Smart Outdoor Camera does not. All other features of the Smart Outdoor Camera, such as the outdoor light, motion detection, night vision (15 metres), easy installation (installation kit included with the Cameras), real-time alerts, picture quality, weather-proofing etc. are the same as those of the Smart Outdoor Camera with Siren (except for the alarm mentioned above). Both Cameras are compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit. These surveillance cameras are available with free delivery on the Netatmo shop, and the RRP is also different.
How does surveillance work with the Camera with Siren?
The Outdoor Camera with Siren is a very effective surveillance system. It keeps an eye on the outside of your home, day and night, with its night vision. When the Camera's sensor detects movement, the Camera determines whether it is a person, a car, an animal, or just trees blowing in the wind. For people, cars and animals, the Camera records a video in full HD 1080p and alerts you on your phone through the Netatmo app using wireless internet connection (Wi-Fi). All videos as well as the "Live" view of the Outdoor Camera with Siren can be accessed through this app.
How does the Camera’s built-in Outdoor Siren work?
When a person or vehicle enters your property/home, you will receive an alert and video on your smartphone. If it’s an intruder, you can scare them off by triggering your Camera’s alarm from the Netatmo app.
What alerts does the Smart Outdoor Camera with Siren send?
With its precise motion detection, the Outdoor Camera with built-in Siren will alert you in the following situations:
— Person detected: one or more people are detected by the Camera.
— Car detected: one or more vehicles have been detected by the Camera.
— Animal detected: one or more animals have been detected by the Camera.
— Camera connected: the Camera is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi.
— Camera disconnected: the Camera is no longer connected to the Wi-Fi, or it has lost its power supply.
— Surveillance suspended: the Camera is no long monitoring. Note that the light will no longer turn on automatically.
— Surveillance resumes: the Camera is monitoring again.
Can I customise the alerts of the Camera?
Yes, in the Outdoor Camera app menu, for people, cars, animals and other movements, you can choose if you want the Camera to:
— Record a Full HD video, and send an alert,
— Only record a Full HD video,
— Do nothing, and ignore the event.
Does Netatmo have access to my data?
At Netatmo, we're committed to protecting your privacy. Nobody at Netatmo has access to your videos (live or recorded) or the "Alert-Zones" information you have chosen. In fact, none of these videos is stored on our server. Only you can access them.
