First announced on 22 January, the Outdoor Camera ORIGINAL combines a high-definition camera, a powerful siren and a smart LED light, giving users a comprehensive outdoor security system in one device, with no subscription needed.

Its advanced optics capture footage in 2K+ HDR at 30 frames per second, with a 130° wide angle, 16x zoom and infrared night vision. Sharp detail, day and night. Every movement around your home, caught with precision.
But a perfect image is only as good as the connection carrying it. The camera supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz) with MIMO technology, made possible by two dual-band antennas — up from the single mono-band antenna on the previous model.
The device can therefore send and receive multiple data streams simultaneously, delivering a faster, more stable connection regardless of the outdoor environment. Continuous surveillance, no lag, no lost signal.

From the app, you can watch live or recorded footage, browse your event history and adjust detection zones in a few taps. It’s more than a viewing platform. The Home + Security app acts as a control centre, coordinating your Netatmo security devices into a coherent, personalised setup, whether you’re at home or away.
Data protection and privacy
Like every Netatmo camera, the Outdoor Camera ORIGINAL is built with user privacy at its core. Smart detection and video storage happen locally, directly on the camera via microSD card so nothing passes through the cloud by default.
On top of this, the camera communicates with your smartphone over an encrypted, secure connection to ensure data security.
Netatmo does not have access to user footage, regardless of which storage method is chosen. Cloud storage is available as an option, but it’s only activated if you explicitly choose to enable it. For the user, this means complete protection and zero compromise on privacy.
